Due to our country geographical situation, it necessitates a strong focus on enhancing transportation infrastructure to facilitate increased export production. Fortunately, recent years of operations have witnessed significant improvements in this crucial aspect. Our refinery enjoys consistent access to a well-established pipeline infrastructure, a result of its strong association with the parent company. Particularly noteworthy are the Uzen-Atyrau-Samara (UAS) and Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) pipelines, which have emerged as vital export conduits for major oil company. Additionally, the our refinery receives a substantial supply from KMG EP, further fortifying collaborative bonds within Kazakhstan's energy sector.
In addition to these advancements, our refinery serves a pivotal role as a crude oil supplier to the Kazakhstan-China pipeline, solidifying its position as a key contributor to the regional energy supply chain. While our country relies on neighboring countries for oil export facilitation, it's essential to recognize the nation's rapidly expanding and diverse export market. This expansion owes much to our refinery's access to the parent company's oil transport infrastructure, a testament to our robust network.
our refinery achieved significant milestones in exporting a substantial portion of its crude oil production. Notably, 59% of these exports originated from our core assets, UMG and EMG. During this period, the CPC pipeline facilitated 26% of the company's crude oil sales, while the UAS pipeline contributed significantly, accounting for 33%. These statistics underscore our company's active involvement and significant contribution to Kazakhstan's dynamic oil export landscape.Historically, our primary export route directed towards Russia was facilitated by the 1,500-kilometer Uzen-Atyrau-Samara (UAS) pipeline, with Samara serving as the principal export outlet.
This route played a pivotal role in our export operations. However, a significant boost to our export capabilities occurred in 2001 with the introduction of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium's (CPC) 1,510-kilometer pipeline. Connecting to the Russian city-port of Novorossiysk on the Black Sea, this new route proved more financially advantageous for our company. Consequently, we diligently increased the proportion of our exports conducted through the CPC pipeline.
